For the first time, Disney’s The Lion King Live in Concert will be held in Malaysia this June. It will be a unique mix of film and live music for local audiences. The event will be held at the KLCC Plenary Hall on June 13, 2026, with two shows, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
The whole animated movie from 1994 will be shown on the big screen during the concert, along with a live orchestra performance. This will be a new way to enjoy this story that many people love.
The performance will be led by the National Symphony Orchestra Malaysia under conductor Eric Lee. As the film plays, the orchestra will perform Hans Zimmer’s award-winning music live, adding depth to every scene.
This setup allows audiences to experience the story in a more powerful and immersive way, with music played in real time.
