Green GSM has expanded its electric mobility services in the Philippines with the launch of Premium Taxi, a new seven-seat service aimed at families, groups and business travellers.
Launched on 25 August 2026, the service uses an all-electric fleet of VinFast Limo Green vehicles. It becomes Green GSM’s second service tier in the country after Green GSM Car, widening its transport options in Metro Manila.
Seven-Seat Electric Taxis for Metro Manila
Premium Taxi is designed for groups of up to six passengers, as well as customers travelling with luggage or looking for additional space. This could make the service particularly useful for airport transfers, family journeys and business travel.
Unlike Green GSM Car’s cyan vehicles, the new fleet comes in black to distinguish the premium service. Each vehicle has three rows of seating, automatic air conditioning and dedicated air vents for the two rear rows.
The vehicles also feature an air filtration system. As an electric fleet, they operate without tailpipe emissions, fuel odour or conventional engine noise.
Where Green GSM Premium Taxi Is Available
During its initial rollout, Premium Taxi will operate across Makati, Taguig, Mandaluyong and Pasig City.
These areas cover several major business districts, commercial centres, hotels and transport hubs in Metro Manila, allowing Green GSM to target locations with strong demand from commuters, families and corporate travellers.
Customers can book through the Green GSM app, hail an available vehicle on the street or contact its customer service hotline at 02-7777-8080. Fares can be viewed through in-vehicle meters and the app.
Green GSM Expands Its Electric Mobility Options
Green GSM Philippines CEO Le Thi Thu Trang said the new service was developed around journeys where space, comfort and service quality are important.
The company said Premium Taxi drivers are carefully selected based on service ratings, with the new tier combining professional driving standards with the larger VinFast Limo Green vehicle.
The expansion also reflects a broader move towards offering different electric transport options for different passenger needs rather than relying on a single ride-hailing format.
Supporting Greener Urban Transportation
Green GSM said it had completed nearly five million all-electric trips and more than 32.6 million kilometres in the Philippines as of 31 March 2026.
According to the company, those journeys are estimated to have reduced approximately 6,263 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to the amount absorbed by nearly 289,000 trees in one year.
With Premium Taxi, Green GSM is extending that electric mobility model into the higher-end transport segment while increasing the range of zero-tailpipe-emission travel options available in Metro Manila.
